Job Responsibilities
Responsible for issuing purchase orders to vendors, following up on these orders, and ensuring their timely delivery
Coordinate closely with the forwarding agent to manage and ensure the smooth clearance of import shipments
Updating order details in the internal database to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
To handle complaints or claims related to products with quality issues and work towards their resolution
Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers or vendors is a key responsibility, particularly when new materials or products are required
Responsible for sourcing materials and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals with vendors
Passionate in supporting related departments to help streamline processes and ease the workflow across the organization
Ensure that proper filing systems are maintained within the department for easy access to important documentation
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that the purchasing department’s workflow is running smoothly and efficiently
Ensuring teamwork and good rapport with colleagues and cooperate with other section of department to ensure the work is performed with quality and efficiently
Obey and follow all the instruction, regulation & policy given by the company at all time
Assist in any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Import Purchasing Department
Undertake other special assignments, ad-hoc job / project as and when required by the superior from time to time
Job Requirement
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or Supply Chain or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, import, or supply chain for Executive level.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply for Officer level positions.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and shipping documentation is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Fast learner, proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an added advantage/ preferred as the role requires communication with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking suppliers.
